C.R. Carney Architects, Inc. is looking for a Project Manager to join our Irvine office.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Interacting and coordinating with various telecommunications clientele, which includes attending site visits and client meetings/conference calls; managing and producing zoning and construction documents; and processing multiple jurisdictional filings
- Coordinating and completing all aspects of the design of wireless telecommunication sites including raw land shelter and cabinet sites; rooftops; and tenant improvements
- Managing a technical team in the execution of various engineering assignments, including working with in-house staff and hired consultants (i.e. structural and electrical engineers)
- Taking a project from start to finish, including jurisdictional reviews and plan checks
- Producing working drawings compliant with building codes and processing city filings
- Managing construction related issues and solving field problems
- Monitoring project processes and profitability to help ensure client and firm goals are being met
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 5-7 years architectural experience (preferably telecom), with at least two of those being in a management capacity
- A Bachelor of Architecture from an accredited institution
- A thorough knowledge of architectural design, drafting, detailing, building materials, building codes, construction techniques, and costs
- Experience with AutoCAD, Photoshop, and MS Office
- Experience with all aspects of professional services from schematic design through project close-out, including design and technical expertise
- A comprehensive understanding of the coordination aspects and related requirements of all design disciplines
- Excellent oral and written communications skills; and the ability to build quick rapport with clients
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to be flexible with hours and work overtime as needed to respond to last-minute needs and/or assist in meeting deadlines
- A strong work ethic and ability to anticipate needs, service clients, initiate decisions, and delegate work as needed
- A dependable self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills; ability to handle multiple projects at one time
- Demonstrates flexibility in working both independently and as a team player
